Palmae Fossil Palm Wood
Palmae Fossil Palm Wood Beautiful slice of fossilized Palm tree trunk that has been highly polished on one side. Specimen measures 21" across, 28" tall and 1" thick. It is a complete cross-section of a large trunk, including the bark (rine). All of the interior workings of the tree are preserved in minute detail, including cell structure and the "pithy" vein structure. This specimen exhibits the unusual structure of a palm tree, which is very different from traditional fossilized wood. Specimen is strong and durable, suitable for a wall mount or a beautiful tabletop. Stock #4049 |
