Product Description

Classic beak fish, 22″ long, on original matrix, 33″ wide x 18″ tall, at widest point.  Exceptional detail on skull and body scales.  This large specimen approaches maximum size for the species.  It is rare to discover a specimen that fossilized in a life-like position rather than the traditional u-shaped position. Fish is outlined on the margins of its body and beak by beautiful crystalline dendrites.  This genus is one of the “standards” from the Solnhofen fish varieties.
